Jay Lohman founded a new entity in Arizona as a single member LLC “JAL Merger & Acquisition Advisor LLC” to perform merger & acquisition consulting services.

As president of Lohman Company, PLLC, Jay’s primary role was the overall management of the firm and the coordination of compilation, review, audit, tax and consulting engagements. Jay formed Lohman Company, PLLC, a Certified Public Accounting and Consulting Firm, in 2000. Jay retired from Lohman Company, PLLC May 31, 2024. He has been in public accounting since 1966. Jay worked as a cost accountant and purchasing agent in the manufacturing industry prior to entering the public accounting profession. For ten years, Jay served as the managing partner and president of Ferris, Busscher & Lohman, P.C., a multi-office certified public accounting firm in Michigan. From 1985 - 2000, he was with Schulman Klock & Co., P.C which became McGladrey & Pullen, LLP / RSM. Jay is a graduate of Davenport University with an associate in science degree in Business Administration in 1965 as valedictorian and a graduate of Aquinas College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accountancy in 1970. He is also a Licensed Certified Public Accountant in Arizona (1985 –present) and Michigan (1971 – present) and has his certification as a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) (2012 – present). Jay is also a Certified Merger & Acquisition Advisor CM&AA (2024 – present).
